Warnings and disclaimers

Ceramic lining, door rope, door glass, baffle plates, combs and fuel retainers are classed as consumable  parts of a fire or stove and as such are not covered by guarantee.

We are not liable for any consequential or incidental loss, damage or injury however caused.

Caution: Cast iron needs to be tempered before operating at highest temperatures. Therefore the fire should be kept very low for the first 24 hours and low for the following 48 hours. Thereafter the stove can be operated at normal temperature.

After a prolonged period of time without burning, such as the summer, it is advisable to re-temper the casting by keeping the fire low for about 4 hours.


It can cause fumes, flue gas explosions and structural damage. Manufacturers do not recommend its use, nor will they honour any warranty claims should this fuel be used on their appliances.


Every effort has been taken to ensure that the products arrive in first class condition. Nevertheless a thorough inspection should be made PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.  Should the product be considered to be faulty, or damaged in transit ,it must be reported at once.  No product should be fitted or installed otherwise the warranty may become invalidated. Please retain the original packaging wherever possible. 


We will use reasonable endeavours on any date indicated for the delivery of goods, but delivery dates should be regarded as approximate only and time shall not be of the essence of the contract.

Faulty and defective goods

We will replace good have a manufactured fault they will be replaced free of charge. Please note however that damage in transit  is not the same as faulty goods.

Damage in transit

When you receive an order, please check when it arrives. If you have not checked the order please sign 'unchecked'. If anything is damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and at the most within 7 days of delivery. After 7 days we can accept a claim for damage in transit.

Incorrect parts

We will replace free of charge any parts sent to you in error by ourselves, however we cannot accept back parts that have been incorrectly ordered by yourselves.  All notification of incorrect parts for whatever reason must be made within 7 days.
